Cadillac Luxury Car Division (CLCD),
a division of General Motors
Provision of contract design and engineering staff for a core group of Exterior Lighting
Specialists including Product Development Engineers and CAD Designers (Unigraphics) for
the Cadillac Luxury Car Division (CLCD) of General Motors. These technical staff at both
the Great Lakes Technology Center in Flint, Michigan and at the GM Tech Center in Warren,
Michigan, helped create many of the lighting components seen on the strikingly new vehicle
designs seen at Cadillac showrooms today. |

Delco Electronics
Continental has provided technical staff for Delco as a key participant in the Delphi
TechCentral system, and recent contract placements have included Electronics technicians
involved in the prototyping, build and test set-ups associated with electromechanical system
integration and product validation of the Delco product line. Administrative contract staff
from Continental are also working in Production Control & Logistics assisting in the
migration to the SAP software system. |

the successful spin-off from Delphi to an independent automotive supplier in 1994. Continental's

(Workshops, Plant Layouts, Design & Build of Assembly Lines), Contract Technical Staffing
(Alternators, Generators, Starter Motors), CAD Services (Product Design & Engineering),
Manufacturing Plant Management, Outsourced Depts./Bundled Services (Purchasing Services,
Mail delivery, etc.). |

Delphi Engine & Energy Management
For the past 11 years, Continental has provided extensive design & build services
for tool design, special machines and assembly lines. Technical contract personnel were
provided for Supply Chain Management [non-product purchasing] services, and both Product
Engineering and Lean Manufacturing services (plant layout, plant relocations) for Delphi
business units that produce batteries, ignitions, generators, alternators and starter motors.

In 1985, Continental started recruiting contract CAD (CGS, ProEngineer, Unigraphics)
designers and project engineers for Guide for the design of aerodynamic (replaceable bulb)
composite headlamps for General Motors' vehicles. Design and engineering support grew to
include the R&D group, Computer-Aided-Engineering (CAE/FEA) resources and the creation
of significant proprietary Intellectual Property (Patents, Trade Secrets, Intellectual
Property Disclosures, Trade Marks).
The initial technical staffing that started over 19 years ago expanded to include the
creation of a fully bundled service that supported an Advanced Packaging & Product
Feasibility Group in Troy, Michigan, dedicated to the GM Design Studios at the GM Tech
Center. Continental provides both contract employees and Executive Search Services (Contingency
Recruiting/Executive Placements) for Program Managers, Quality, Optical Designers &
software and Manufacturing Engineers. |

database of technical professionals to insure the future needs of this facility are addressed. |

Continental has partnered with Northstar Aerospace in the start up of a
Precision Machining Center in Anderson, Indiana. Continental provides
facilities, program management and staffing, assisting Northstar in this

Thompson Consumer Electronics (RCA)
Continental's Executive Staffing (CES) Group and Lean Manufacturing Group worked closely
with the manufacturing plants for Thompson Consumer Electronics (RCA) to provide executives
on a contingency fee basis and support the range of technical personnel needs associated
with the electronics industry. Thompson recognized the value of Continental's Lean Manufacturing
booklets, authored by Tom Epply (President of Continental, and retired GM plant manager),
and ordered thousands of them, one for each employee in the Thompson manufacturing facilities. |
