Continental Assists Northstar Aerospace
in the Opening of New Facility

On October 24, 2006, Northstar Aerospace, along with Mitch Daniels, the governor of Indiana, and Kevin Smith, the mayor of Anderson, announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Anderson, IN.

Continental Design & Engineering of Anderson worked with Northstar Aerospace to establish this new facility. Continental located the facility, helped acquire the equipment, recruited qualified staff and assisted Northstar in obtaining over $250,000 in State Training Grants. Continental will continue to assist Northstar with staffing as the business expands. Continental's many years of experience providing technical resources to the manufacturing industry made them the perfect partner for Northstar.

The new Anderson facility currently employs 29, with total employment expected to grow to 40 in late 2007. "Northstar Aerospace adds important diversity to Anderson's economy and, with new training, the aerospace industry offers opportunities for former automotive workers," said Anderson Mayor Kevin S. Smith. "A vibrant future is being shaped for Anderson's economy. We welcome Northstar Aerospace and by association, Rolls-Royce Corporation, to Anderson."

Mitch Daniels, the Governor of Indiana, said, "This is a win for Anderson and an example of how industry, working with local and state government, can attract new business. This partnership with the aerospace industry is a step toward more diversification in our economy."

Northstar Aerospace, a leading independent manufacturer of components and assemblies for the global aerospace industry, was recently awarded a seven-year contract by Rolls-Royce Corporation, Indianapolis. Northstar will provide machining for gearboxes and related parts used in commercial and military aircraft. The facility in Anderson will be a specialized feeder plant for this purpose.

Northstar Aerospace currently employs 700 and had annual sales of $139.4 million in 2005. The company has locations in Chicago, IL, Phoenix, AZ, Stoud, OK, and Windsor, Ontario in Canada. The corporate office is located in Bedford Park, Illinois, near Chicago.
